After the success of last year’s event we plan to repeat the race format but with an added extra!?

A 2 Stage time trial on the River Severn, open to Celtic, Pembroke longboats – Other fixed seat tubs may apply – Coxes can swap. No passengers.

The first stage is an 8 mile time trial upstream on the River Severn from the Pengwern Rowing club in centre of Shrewsbury to finish at the most northerly point of The Isle known to SARC as “North Pole”, Then boats turn downstream for a 2 mile row for a rest & a chat to second stage start point.

The second stage is a 6 mile time trial downstream to finish back at the Pengwern Rowing Club.

Stage times will be combined to determine class winners.

The race start & finish venue is The Pengwern Boat Club, Kingsland, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 7BD. This is a Victorian boathouse overlooking the Quarry and river in central Shrewsbury. It is a great venue with large elevated terrace to view the event. Pre-race breakfast / post-race food, bar, male & female changing and shower facilities are available.

Race fee is £10.00 per crew member to include post-race food.
