Celtic Longboat – Cariad y Mor (115) – Booking Page

This is the booking page for the WSR Celtic Longboat – Cariad y Mor (115).

Please note the initial loan period must be for 56 days (8 weeks) as stated in the WSR Boat Loan Terms and Conditions.*

Loan of the WSR Celtic Longboat – Cariad y Mor (115) is subject to a charge of £10.00 per week**

At the end of the 8-week period the loan period may be extended if no other clubs have requested use of the boat. This should be arranged with the nominated WSR official at least 2 weeks prior to the end of the loan agreement. Extensions will be on a 4-week basis, these can only be booked by sending a request to your Regional Rep or secretary@searowing.wales

  1. Please click on a Start date on the calendar below to request a booking (Do not try and select an End date). The system will then automatically select exactly 56 days (8 weeks) on the calendar before you can continue the booking.
    **IMPORTANT – First make sure all months are displayed for the full 56 days to be selected**
    If you make a mistake you may need to refresh the page (press F5) and start again.
  2. Once the Start and End dates have populated, fill in the rest of the form and click Submit. You will need to check the consent box first before submit is enabled.
  3. After you have submitted your booking the WSR Committee will consider your request and let you know as soon as possible on their decision. We endeavour to prioritise the allocation of loan boats for new or developing clubs who may not have access to another boat.

*In the event of more than one club expressing an interest in use of a WSR boat, new clubs without equipment will be given priority on a first come first served basis, with an initial loan period of 2 months (except ‘Celtic Longboat 115’ as this is a development boat that new clubs situated on undeveloped parts of the Welsh coastline have priority allocation based on a loan period of 6 months).
**It was agreed in the WSR Executive Meeting January 2017 that a half price winter rate can be applied to the months of November, December, January and February. WSR official(s) can also agree for clubs to use boats free of charge if they have performed storage duties for WSR boats whilst not on a current loan agreement.

  • Boat in good condition (any damage to be documented)
  • 4 oars
  • Rudder including pin and clip
  • Trolley (both tyres good)
  • Cover and spars
  • Throw line
  • 5 life jackets
  • Flares
  • Trailer (road worthy with good tyres)
  • Light board (in working condition)
