Welsh Sea Rowing will periodically offer the online coxing courses to all member clubs. Details of these courses are shown below. We will publish the dates of the next courses becoming available well in advance via this website and all our communications channels.

This is a course delivered by our WSR Training Officer

Who can attend?
Anyone who is an affiliated member of a WSR affiliated club.

How long is the course?
The course is normally delivered over a 2 hour session online.

Course Aims
The coxing course is designed to give a broad base of knowledge to keep you, the Cox, your crew and other water users safe.

What will I get out of it?
You will learn about tides, weather, marine markers and seamanship and be able to apply this knowledge to your club venue and race venues.

You will gain a better understanding of elements that affect rowing conditions.

You will be able to use your knowledge to understand the elements and hazards that effect rowing conditions and have confidence to make good decisions.

You will gain confidence to become a creative cox.
