Entries for 2025 - NOW OPEN!

By popular demand, we have decided to run another Cardigan Bay Challenge , dubbed ‘Wales’ Toughest Row’ on the weekend of 20-22 June 2025. This Challenge will be run in the same format as 2024 so crews wishing to take part should now start looking for their support vessels.

This does not mean that we have given up on the Celtic Challenge, this race has many challenges of it’s own but we will continue to try and work through them and hope to bring it back in the future.

Statement from the WSR Challenge Committee

The WSR Challenge Committee members have been working away in the background through the summer and whilst it was hoped that we could bring to you a Celtic Challenge in 2025, it has been agreed that we are not currently in a position to fulfill this. It is a disappointment but it is a very big task that still requires further work in order for it to run smoothly and safely.

Follow Helen (WSR Chair), Denise, Liz and Heledd on this epic row

Four ordinary women from Pembrokeshire who want to do something extraordinary. We want to show that nothing - not gender, not our aging bodies, not even our own minds - can stop us from achieving great things. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we’re grabbing it by the oars!
