RACE CANCELLED

Beaumaris Rowing Club offers a warm welcome to the WSR league race on Sunday 26th of June 2022

 

  • 8.00 am onwards: Registration; Breakfast & Refreshments upstairs at Royal Anglesey Yacht Club
  • 9.30 am Coxes Briefing in downstairs bar
  • 10.15am Races begin with the excitement of a line start and the exhilaration of boat-for-boat racing
  • After the races: Lunch upstairs & bar downstairs at the RAYC followed by results & presentation of prizes
  • Entry fee: Adult £7, Juniors £4

Notes

 

  1. SAFETY EQUIPMENT ON THE WATER
    Each crew has a collective responsibility to ensure their boat is seaworthy, carries a sturdy tow rope and as a minimum has at least one large bailer, first aid kit, survival blankets, throw bag, plus suitable personal protective equipment for expected conditions which must also include a life jacket or buoyancy aid for each crew member.
    A working VHF radio and a whistle is mandatory, it is advised each boat carries a fully charged mobile phone within a waterproof pouch, number, and name to be given during registration. (If you need to borrow a vhf, please contact the Race Secretary in advance.) Spot checks may be undertaken prior to launch.
  2. The races will be run under the WSRA Racing Rules.
  3. Lunch is free to competitors; supporters can purchase a meal token for £4 from the registration desk until 10am

  1. The first aid station is at the RAYC Club
  2. No crew rotation is allowed during the race.
  3. Park and unload trailers on the Stones area of Beaumaris Green only, next to the dinghy compound by the RNLI. All tow vehicles are required by the Town Council to park on the main part of the Green and to buy a £5 parking ticket. There is free parking available on the street, but Beaumaris can be very busy.
    If boat storage on Saturday night is required please contact the race secretary.

  5. Please note bring your recyclable bottles, there is a free filling water station at the RAYC yacht club.
