WSR Committee Positions 2023

WSR Committee Positions – Message from WSR Chair Caroline Dance

Our AGM is due soon, this is an opportunity for the current officers of your committee to decide if they wish to re-stand in their respective roles, or to step aside in order to give someone new the opportunity to be part of shaping Welsh Sea Rowing into the future by joining the committee.

As you will all know each year every officer has to formally step down and be re-voted onto the committee if they wish to re-stand. This allows opportunities for any affiliated rowers to take up a role on the committee. If you wish to be considered, please register your name, club and your proposer and seconder with either myself or Stephen the Secretary prior to the forthcoming WSR AGM which will be held virtually on the 28th January 2023.

Kind regards

Caroline Dance
WSR Chair

UPDATE – 27th January 2023

We currently have several positions confirmed by the current officers in post that they are eligible and wish to stand again.

There are 5 officers who have stated they wish to stand down;

Chair, Web Officer, Publicity Officer, Mid Rep and South Rep. The Health & Safety role is also vacant.

IT is imperative that people step up to fill these roles otherwise the WSR committee will not be able to properly function and this impacts the running of the league events and the overall status of the activity of coastal rowing in Wales!

PLEASE approach any member of your club that you think may be happy to take on a role. The current officers who hope to be voted back on are a friendly bunch and more than happy to help any newcomer to any role.

THANK YOU.
