#5MilesFromHome FINAL Results
What a fantastic #5MilesFromHome Challenge 2026!
Once again, rowers, paddlers and crews from across Wales, Ireland, Scotland and beyond came together to celebrate our shared love of being on the water. From competitive crews chasing every second to those simply enjoying the challenge from their home waters, every participant helped make this year’s event another great success.
A huge congratulations to all category winners and everyone who completed the challenge. The spirit, teamwork and enthusiasm shown throughout the event perfectly captured what #5MilesFromHome is all about.
Special congratulations to Aberystwyth Rowing Club, recipients of this year’s Median Award. Finishing closest to the overall median performance across the challenge, they proved that consistency and determination are every bit as worthy of recognition as outright speed. Well done Aberystwyth!
Thank you to everyone who entered, volunteered, organised, photographed, cheered from the shore and shared their experiences online. We look forward to seeing you all back on the water for #5MilesFromHome 2027! 🚣🌊🎉
