Race Notice for the Nelson’s Nobbler Challenge Race
hosted by Neyland Rowing Club
26th July, 2025 – Race Start Time 11.00 am
This is 12-mile race along the River Cleddau. Starting from picturesque Neyland, you will row beneath the Cleddau Bridge, continuing upriver, with stunning Pembrokeshire scenery, finally reaching Black Tar near the pretty village of Llangwm. Here you will turn around and race back to Neyland for well deserved refreshments.

Registration 0900 hrs to 1030 hrs

Race Start 1100 hrs – Rolling Start
This is an endurance row for Celtics and Yoles. It should take approximately two hours.
The race is over a timed course with a single run. Each boat entered will be for one crew only, though swapping in and out with the Cox is permitted. All boat numbers must be clearly displayed and all registration forms completed accurately. https://www.searowing.wales/download/wsra-crew-registration-form/
The cost is £10.00 per rower or cox and includes safety cover and post-race food.
You should arrange to drop off on the Neyland Slipway (in front of The Gallery Restaurant) as early as possible. Trailers will need to be relocated to the Brunel Quay public carpark. This is free of charge and marshals will be there to guide you.
Pre-Race Bacon Rolls, Teas, Coffees, and Cakes will be offered for a small charge in the Boat Yard. Toilet facilities are available.
Post-Race, in addition to the inclusive meal, there will be Cakes, Teas and Coffees on sale.
The included meal will be served in the wonderful Gallery Restaurant at Neyland Yacht Club from 2.30pm.
